<p>At Attest we understand how important data storytelling is to any insights work. The impact of research is predicated on your ability to translate the insights you identify into language that resonates with stakeholders. But to get from data to insights to a cohesive data story is extremely time consuming.</p>



<p>That’s why we chose data storytelling tools as the starting point for introducing AI to the Attest platform.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We’ve been working on a bunch of new AI features that will support you throughout your analysis and data storytelling work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Get to know your data with a quick start Board. AI will identify key findings and create a Board with charts and findings. This is the quickest way to get to know your high-level data before you dig in further.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Finally, you have your findings in a Board but need to turn these into insights. Our AI will suggest chart titles and captions to contextualise the findings for your stakeholders. You can then layer on recommendations specific to your business context and get the Board into your stakeholder’s hands.&nbsp;</p>

Customers already love the way we designed tools like segments, crosstabs and charts to be as intuitive as possible. Layering AI onto these makes them even quicker to use and frees you up to focus on the strategic tasks not in the realm of AI’s capabilities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As well as working on our own suite of features and tools to improve your research process – more to come from us on that! – we want to set out our stall for AI in consumer research.&nbsp;</p>



<p>This is how we’re approaching AI internally and externally, to give you an understanding of where we’re coming from, and where you can expect to see us go.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-why-research-needs-a-different-standard-for-ai">Why research needs a different standard for AI</h2>



<p>Here’s why an all-guns-blazing approach to AI isn’t right for consumer research: you make winning or losing decisions based on your research outputs.&nbsp;</p>



<p>There are definitely some huge developments in AI that we are excited to explore –&nbsp;synthetic audiences, for example. But because of those winning or losing decisions you make with your insights, a little caution around things like this isn’t a bad thing.</p>



<p>And so, more than ever, you need to know you’re making the right decisions –&nbsp;you need trust in the insights you’re looking at.</p>



<p>AI –&nbsp;when it’s poorly applied –&nbsp;can be misleading, inaccurate and can overlook crucial nuances in research outputs. Not to mention hallucinating and just plain making stuff up.</p>



<p>And that’s just not good enough.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-we-build-trustworthy-ai">How we build trustworthy AI</h2>



<p>Attest’s Data Science team has dedicated itself to building, testing and refining models that have trust at their core. ‘Garbage in, garbage out’ is the adage they use to instill and maintain a high standard of quality for the data they work with, and that is translated to the Attest features you use.</p>



<p>We place a high importance on testing everything. All features go through several rigorous rounds of quality testing by the Product, Engineering and Customer teams, to make sure we trust the outputs.&nbsp;</p>



<p>If we have any doubts about the quality of outputs, we simply won’t release the feature until we’ve adjusted our models to eliminate any doubt.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-attest-customers-can-expect">What Attest customers can expect</h2>



<p>In the next few months we’re releasing features that bring AI into researchers’ day-to-day projects.&nbsp;</p>



<p>These features will initially focus on the analysis and storytelling side of research: helping you get to your insights faster and to more effectively tell a compelling story with your results.</p>



<p>For example, we&#8217;re integrating AI into key moments of the analysis journey. From kicking off your analysis with some key findings and charts identified by AI, to getting summaries of your qualitative data, AI will assist you with some of the more time consuming analysis tasks and hopefully make your life a little bit easier.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Looking further ahead, we will continue to integrate AI into the entire platform including survey design support, additional data quality checks and more granular data analysis. We see a path forward where AI can be your assistant throughout the research cycle, freeing you up to be a strategic partner to stakeholders across your organisation.</p>

<p>There’s no two ways about it &#8211; AI is dominating the conversation. But there’s growing skepticism around concepts like synthetic audiences. Being able to boost an audience by inferring new respondents was better received. There’s also a buzz around&nbsp;<strong>AI-moderated qual</strong>&nbsp;tools and&nbsp;<strong>persona-based AI agents</strong>, but trust and data accuracy remain critical factors in adoption.</p>

<p>Now you can save insights as you work. Use Boards as a dynamic workspace to figure out which insights are important and easily keep them up to date using new filters and splits.&nbsp;</p>

<li>Add as many insights as you like and figure out which ones to keep, delete and update later. Boards are designed to be intuitive &#8211; reorder charts and text boxes with drag and drop, update filters and splits as needed and change chart type as you work. </li>



<li>Once you’re happy with your story, export images to include in a PPT or make your Board public to give your stakeholders an interactive view of the story. </li>

<p>Attest has achieved record revenue growth during the pandemic, driving the accelerated importance of customer and market understanding to organisations who are seeking competitive advantage and business growth. Attest has continued to support and grow its ever-expanding roster of clients, including Microsoft, Santander, Walgreens/Boots, Wise, Klarna, Organic Valley and Fabletics.&nbsp;</p>



<p>This latest round will help further accelerate Attest’s already rapid expansion in both Europe and North America, as well as the company’s mission to make high quality research simple, fast and powerful for everyone on a continuous basis.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The intuitive SaaS platform aims to make checking ideas and actions with target consumers as second-nature as checking the time, so every business decision can be grounded in data. Using Attest&#8217;s unique technology, surveys can be created and distributed to target consumers in as little as 90 seconds and results are significantly higher-quality, more reliable, representative, and delivered faster than ever possible before. This self-serve technology is supported by Attest&#8217;s in-house team of research experts, leading to trustworthy data that brands can rely on.</p>

<p>Attest’s latest funding round includes leading global venture capital firm <a href="https://www.nea.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NEA</a> and several other undisclosed large investors. Silicon Valley giant NEA, with more than 250 portfolio company IPOs among the firm’s nearly 700 successful exits, has now invested across multiple Attest funding rounds. NEA has backed seminal SaaS, data analytics and consumer-centric businesses throughout its 43-year history including Salesforce, Tableau Software, Duolingo, Elastic, Groupon and Robinhood. </p>

<p>Attest’s head count has increased from 70 employees in early 2020 to over 140 today, spread across the company’s London and New York offices. Ambitious growth plans will see that number reach 200-250+ in the next 12 months.</p>



<p>Attest’s consumer reach has also increased, with brands now able to access more than 110 million people in 49 countries. Via Attest, this power is now open to any user, in any B2C company.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Attest, a SaaS consumer research platform for today&#8217;s fastest-scaling and biggest brands, today announces that Loree Lash-Valencia has joined as VP Sales, North America. </p>



<p>Loree has over 25 years of experience in sales and business development and joins from wholesale and virtual showroom platform JOOR where she was VP North America Sales. Previous to this, she has led sales efforts at companies including Smartly.io, PebblePost, WGSN and Yesimo.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Based in Attest’s New York offices, Loree will be responsible for disrupting the decades-old market research industry in the US, putting speed and ease at the heart of how brands uncover opportunity with consumer data. In her day-to-day role, she will lead on driving sales strategy and GTM in the US and scaling Attest’s New York-based teams to support ongoing growth. Attest works with a host of the world’s biggest brands including Microsoft, Walgreens/Boots, Organic Valley, and more.</p>
